  7. PLANIM enables an AutoCAD workstation with digitizing tablet to function as a
  8. sophisticated planimeter. This capability allows a user to easily digitize and
  9. calculate both uniform and irregularly shaped areas from drawings on media.
  10. Scaled distances and perimeters may also be easily digitized and calculated.
  11. Area calculations may be performed on drawings prepared having just one scale
  12. or having different horizontal and vertical scales. Both areas and distances
  13. may be digitized and calculated in either 'Point' or 'Stream' mode and, as the
  14. user digitizes an area or distance, the outline of the area or distance being
  15. digitized is drawn to the screen. Results of each area or distance calculation
  16. are displayed on the screen and may be written to an output report file.
